Our Vision
Our vision for Philadelphia Brethren Assembly is to prepare God’s people for works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith, in the knowledge of the Son of God, and become mature, attaining the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. (Ephesians 4:12, 13).
Our vision for this assembly would enable us to be a New Testament church branching out into new churches in the future.
Our Purpose
Our purpose for the assembly is that we devote ourselves to the teaching of the Bible, providing a place of fellowship for believers, observing breaking of bread and to prayer. (Acts 2:42)
Our Mission
Our mission as an assembly is to foster spiritual fellowship among the believers of an assembly background in the surrounding South Eastern Pennsylvania communities of the United States.
This mission supported the assembly to model itself as a community based multi-lingual gathering.
Our Objectives:
- Serve the Lord Jesus Christ. (Heb. 9:14, Heb. 12:28, Titus 2:11-14)
- Spread the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ as revealed in the Holy Scriptures. (Matt. 28:19-20, Mark 16:15)
- Baptize those who believe by immersion. (Matt. 28:19, Mark 16:16, Eph. 4:4-6)
- Gather together to remember the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ as practiced by the early Church (Acts 2:42, Acts 20:7)
- Gather together for prayer, fellowship, and ministry of the word of God. (Acts 2:42)
- Teach God’s word, where believers are grounded, discipled and led towards maturity; preparing them to perform works of ministry. (Eph. 4:11-12, Rom. 12:6, 1 Cor. 12:14-31, Heb. 10:24-25)
- Maintain the teachings of the Holy Scriptures by a Sunday School and work among the young by any and all means that is in conformity with the word of God. (Prov. 22:6, Psa. 119:66, 2 Tim. 3:16)
- Love the weak among us. Bear each other’s burden. Exhort one another daily. Pray one for another. (Gal. 6:21, Thess. 5:11, Heb. 3:13)
